Bennett, Jr.<\/strong> brings in-depth interagency skill to <strong>Closs Global Solutions<\/strong> in his role as\u00a0<span class=\"s1\"><strong>Vice President for Business Development<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>He has served in an appointed position within the <strong>Senior Executive Service<\/strong> and several years within the <strong>Executive Office of the President<\/strong>. Lee&#8217;s border operations security experience includes assignments at several Joint Operational Intelligence Centers within the state of <strong>Texas<\/strong>. He served as the <strong>National Guard Bureau<\/strong>\u2019s liaison to the <strong>U.S. Border Patrol<\/strong> and served as agency liaison for the <strong>National Guard Bureau<\/strong>, supporting the <strong>2010 Winter Olympics Coordination Center<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clossglobal.com\/Solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/LeeJBennettJr2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-329 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clossglobal.com\/Solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/LeeJBennettJr2-224x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clossglobal.com\/Solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/LeeJBennettJr2-224x300.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.clossglobal.com\/Solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/LeeJBennettJr2.jpg 288w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a>Lee was part of a project team that assisted the National Guard Bureau in the establishment of two <strong>National Joint Interagency Training Centers<\/strong> and the development of a master training plan that focused on the training and education strategy for homeland defense within the National Guard Bureau. He was also a part of a team that designed a common <strong>Center of Excellence<\/strong> organizational model for the centers and schools within the <strong>U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command<\/strong>. While he was a member of <strong>Abrams Learning and Information Systems, Inc.<\/strong> (ALIS), he was promoted to <strong>Director of Human Resources<\/strong> and served as <strong>Vice President<\/strong>.\u00a0 Lee also served as <strong>Team Chief<\/strong> for the <strong>Republic of Georgia Armed Forces Officer Career Management and Unit Readiness Mobile Training Team<\/strong> (MTT). While serving with MTT, his responsibilities included developing processes and techniques to improve the Georgian Armed Forces capabilities to effectively track their own unit strengths and project requirements at least two to three years in advance.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining corporate organizations, Lee held senior positions for four years in the <strong>Executive Office of the President, The White House<\/strong>, as the <strong>Deputy Chief of Staff and Principal Personnel Assistant to the Director of the National Drug Control Policy<\/strong>. He also served in the U.S. Army for over 25 years as an Infantry Officer, where he held command and staff positions in a variety of infantry units, including the <strong>82nd Airborne Division<\/strong>, the <strong>101st Air Assault\/Airborne Division<\/strong> and <strong>United States Southern Command<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Lee received a <strong>Bachelor of Arts in Political Science\/History and Government<\/strong>\u00a0 in 1976 from <strong>Virginia Union University.<\/strong>\u00a0 His Security Training includes <strong>Essentials of Industrial Security Management (EISM), Information Systems Security Basics,<\/strong> and <strong>Protecting Secret and Confidential Documents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Lee&#8217;s list of honors includes <strong>The Presidential Service Badge, Legion of Merit Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award Army Superior Unit Award, Pathfinder Badge, Parachutist Badg<\/strong>e, and the Ranger Tab.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With over thirty years of managerial and leadership experience in complex and diverse organizations, Lee J.
