Skinner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>David Skinner<\/strong>, <em><strong>Director of\u00a0<\/strong> <strong>Marketing and Design<\/strong><\/em>, brings over 30 years of effective communication experience to <strong>Closs Global Solutions<\/strong>.\u00a0 He began his career as a reporter and editor for <strong><em>The Sevier County Times<\/em><\/strong>, a weekly newspaper in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.\u00a0 In the late &#8217;70s, he relocated to New York City, where he art directed the international music trade magazine, <strong><em>Record World<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 During his tenure at <em>RW<\/em>, he also did custom art projects for such notables as <strong>Elton John, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, Led Zeppelin, Kenny Rogers<\/strong> and <strong>Billy Joel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clossglobal.com\/Solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/David5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-315 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clossglobal.com\/Solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/David5-236x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clossglobal.com\/Solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/David5-236x300.jpg 236w, https:\/\/www.clossglobal.com\/Solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/David5.jpg 288w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 236px) 100vw, 236px\" \/><\/a>After <em>Record World<\/em>, Skinner went to work for <strong>Doubleday<\/strong>, art directing their prestigious <strong><em>Literary Guild Magazine<\/em><\/strong>. At Doubleday, he created marketing treatments for books by such notable writers as <strong>James Michener, Peter Maas, Stephen King<\/strong>, and celebrities such as <strong>Candice Bergen, Dinah Shore<\/strong> and <strong>Dr. Ruth Westheimer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the mid &#8217;80s, Skinner co-founded <strong>Indelible Inc<\/strong>., an Atlanta print, design and advertising agency. One of Indelible\u2019s initial clients was <strong>Glock<\/strong>, and he created their first major advertising and marketing campaigns, which was geared specifically to the law enforcement community. In the early 90\u2019s, Skinner also became involved in various music projects, including <strong>Johnny Cash<\/strong>\u2019s gospel video and CD,<strong><em> \u201cReturn to the Promised Land,\u201d <\/em><\/strong>for which he designed the logo and co-wrote the title track with Cash and Cash\u2019s manager, Hugh Waddell.<\/p>\n<p>In 2005, Skinner launched <strong>Bridgital <\/strong>(a <span class=\"st\">portmanteau<\/span> for <em>digital bridge<\/em>), an advertising and design company. His clients have included <strong>Home Depot, Target, HanesBrands<\/strong> and <strong>Citibank<\/strong>, as well as colleges such as <strong>Bluefield College, Truett-McConnell, GBCN at Mercer University<\/strong> and his alma mater,<strong> Carson-Newman University<\/strong>.
